Sexual Violence Prevention and Awareness Programming

As a part of the University of Arkansas community and the national conversation on college campus safety, we are providing you with this on-line educational tool to understand elements of prevention and awareness. The National Institute of Justice data shows that one in five college women and one in 16 men will experience some form of non-consensual sexual activity by graduation.  The widespread impact of sexual violence on students presents an urgent and pressing challenge for our nation’s campuses.

To this end, the University of Arkansas has joined together with many top schools in the country in adopting the Sexual Assault Prevention online trainings for Undergraduates, Graduate Students, and faculty and staff members as a component of its sexual violence prevention and awareness programming initiative. The Sexual Assault Prevention training is an online interactive program that addresses the critical issues of sexual assault, relationship violence, and stalking.

We are strongly encouraging all University of Arkansas students to complete the Sexual Assault Prevention training program in an effort to increase education and awareness about this subject. The Sexual Assault Prevention training program will take you approximately 45 minutes to complete. You will need a computer with Internet access and audio capabilities.
